Nestled in the heart of Springfield, OH, Lee Ann's Dairy Delight offers an inviting escape into the world of classic American comfort food and exceptional ice cream treats. This charming ice cream shop is a local gem, perfectly blending nostalgic flavors with hearty, satisfying dishes that keep customers returning time and again.
Lee Ann's Dairy Delight is far more than just a simple ice cream parlor. While their soft serve is famously remarkable—rich, creamy, and delightfully smooth, putting even big chains like Dairy Queen to shame—the menu extends well beyond frozen delights. The daily special, priced at $12, showcases the chef's creative flair and offers a comforting variety that appeals to every palate. For those craving savory indulgences, the deep-fried selections are irresistible: from crispy pickles and mushroom bites to hearty onion petals and golden cheese sticks, each item delivers a perfect crunch and flavorful seasoning that conjures satisfying comfort food memories.
Sandwich lovers will appreciate the range of sub sandwiches, including the classic Italian Sub, a spicy Italian version, and the ever-popular Ham N Cheese sub, each crafted with fresh ingredients and robust flavors. The menu also includes crowd-pleasers like chili cheese fries and crispy fries, perfect accompaniments or standalone snacks that capture the essence of a traditional American diner experience.
What truly sets Lee Ann's apart is its warm, family-owned atmosphere, creating a welcoming space that feels like a comforting retreat. It's clear that the friendly staff, including Randi and Sam, go above and beyond to make every guest feel like a cherished part of their family. This authentic kindness is often echoed by patrons, who rave about the bustling yet homey vibe that wraps around you the moment you step inside.

This was a great little spot with wonderful ice cream! We were on the final leg of a 3 day road trip and this was a great way to stretch our legs! We took it to go so that we could sit with The Madonna of the Trail a few blocks away!

I've heard a lot about the small and unassuming building. I figured I would give it a try and I was not disappointed. The coney dogs were the test run but they were great so I'll be back to try the whole menu, item by item. A true gem.

Literally the best soft serve I’ve ever had. Naturally it blows DQ out of the water. They have chocolate dipped cones like DQ does as well if you prefer that. They have plenty of choices for scooped ice cream but I never even bother because their plain vanilla is just spectacular. Consider that that’s probably the base ice cream that they use for all their milkshakes and you can imagine how delicious all of those are too. When we’re in the mood for those, we always get the classic chocolate milkshake, or caramel, or my personal favorite, butterscotch. Their chicken wings are delicious, no matter what sauce they’re tossed in. The deep fried mushrooms, fried broccoli, and other fried veggies are excellent. People here are also super nice and considerate of how long you have to wait when they’re busy, and they actually began recognizing me just from fairly infrequent visits (think every 2 weeks or so) so they really care about their customers and want to make sure they get their preferences right! They work their butts off so make sure you tip them something when you get to the window! I feel terrible whenever I’m a little too broke to tip anything, but their prices are still so affordable even with inflation going up and up that I can afford to have a nice treat and still can usually give a tip.
